Our first broken bone :(
We were at a holiday get together with a group of my college friends. The boys were playing in the basement with the other kids and Riley came up the stairs crying saying his arm and shoulder hurt. His cry was like no other I had ever heard, and after realizing that he couldn't pick up his arm I thought it was time to take him to the Children's ER. A quick x-ray and a visit from the doc confirmed that his collarbone was broken. We visited an orthopedist on Monday afternoon who fitted him with a better sling and ordered 3 weeks of no basketball or gym class. While I'm thankful that this was a pretty mild broken bone, I still hope it's our last!
The next day Riley's sweet friend Addison brought him a special cookie and a magazine as a get well present!
The newest craze
Riley got a Rainbow Loom for Christmas from the Harries family and he was so excited! He started making bracelets right away and we found some great you tube videos to make more advanced bracelets.
Christmas!
On Christmas Eve I tried to get a few pictures of the kids dressed up before we went to church... Audrey had a hard time cooperating!
After a good night's sleep we came downstairs to find that Santa had come and left us presents!
My parents and Kathleen were going to join us for breakfast and to open presents, but we let the kids tear into their stockings while we were waiting for them.
Audrey had no idea what to do...
Riley got a favorite snack...
... Audrey got some new toys for the tub...
... and Jonah got a new puzzle.
After we filled our bellies the kids started opening presents.
Riley was SO excited to get the Lego fire house!
Jonah got a Curious George dressed in pajamas that he just loved... appropriate because Jonah loves his pajamas so much!

Jonah's Christmas Program
Jonah's preschool class presented their Christmas program with some of the other 3 year old classes.
I had my second camera in my purse so Riley got in on the photo action too!
