Jonah's First Day of Preschool

Jonah started his first day of Preschool at Asbury! He's lucky enough to have the same teachers that we loved that Riley had 2 years ago, Mrs. Kollar and Mrs. Shepherd. With Riley in afternoon Kindergarten, our schedule in the middle of the day is a little bit of a mess. So until I can figure out how to split myself in two to pick up Jonah the same time I need to drop off Riley, Jonah stays at school for lunch. He was so excited to go lunchbox shopping with me and to pick out some of his foods to pack each day.

Pictures of which baby?

One afternoon Riley and I were talking about baby pictures and I promised him that the next time we went to Nanny & Poppop's house I would pull out some of my baby pictures for him to see. I knew Audrey looked somewhat like me, but it wasn't until I saw my own baby pictures that I realized just how much she looks like me!

I love that my mom has saved some of the dresses that she made for us... Here's Audrey in one of her summer creations (and then Theresa and I in the same dress)!

First Day of Kindergarten!

Riley had his first day of Kindergarten at Western Salisbury Elementary School on Monday, August 26. We had been to a meet the teacher day a few weeks before where Riley got to spend some time with his teacher and some of his classmates. He was excited to go to school!

Always time for a quick bike ride...

Nanny and Poppop came over a special first day of school dinner and came in time to see Riley get off the bus!

Poppop thought Audrey would love watching for the bus from the top of the mailbox.

Here he comes!

We had an added surprise today... Riley also lost his first tooth right before dinner!

Nanny made this very cool school bus cake in honor of the big day!

And the next morning Riley was thrilled to find out that the tooth fairy had visited and left him a "five bucks dollar"

Audrey is 6 months old!

On August 15, Audrey turned 6 months old!

Dinosaur Train!

My boys love the PBS show Dinosaur Train and so does their friend Brooke, so our families headed to Phillipsburg together for a special afternoon. We had a short train ride, and then were able to take part in a lot of dino-themed activities.

Baby's first train ride!

The corn maize had a bunch of huge dinosaurs hidden in it.

Digging for dino bones

The results of panning for gold (not specific to dinos, but one of the fun activities the site offered!)

And their own Buddy dinosaurs to take home!

Musikfest

We made a few trips to Musikfest as a family this year... fun as always!

We were excited to see Aunt Pat's name on one of the volunteer anniversary signs:

We watched our friend Sydney dance with her dance studio... she did a great job!

And both boys love a good carnival ride!

Fielding cousin visit

In late July we had a visit from Jean, her mom, and kids. They had spent the day at the Crayola Factory and came to our house after dinner with some ice cream! It was a beautiful evening so we turned the kids loose in the yard to burn off some energy before bedtime.

Starting to assemble a picture of 7 kids (and 1 Poppop)

Done!
