SNOW!

This winter we had about a MILLION snow days... lots of time to fill with play!

One day before Christmas we pulled out our gingerbread house kit. I let each boy decorate one side.

Audrey was fascinated!

One day when the boys had off but we didn't get too much snow I took them out for frozen yogurt after dinner... in our pajamas!

Girls' weekend in San Francisco!

Audrey and I made a weekend visit to Theresa in San Francisco just in time for her 40th birthday! I had never been to the area before and we had a great time!

We had a little lunch in the Phoenix airport...

And then did lots of sightseeing! First up, the Golden Gate Bridge!

And we had to drive down Lombard Street, and the obligatory picture of a trolley for my boys.

After some snuggles at home the next morning we took Audrey to jail... Alcatraz!

 

This is a pic of San Francisco from Alcatraz... SO hilly. I saw people running all over town during the weekend and was in awe of how fit they must be!

I was so happy that Audrey and I could make the trip... happy birthday TT!

O Christmas Tree...

Abe and I took Audrey out with us this year to find our Christmas Tree while the boys were enjoying some after-holiday fun at Parkettes!

When they got home the boys went to town with the decorations!

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Birthday!

We got two holidays in one this year... Thanksgiving and Abe's birthday! Riley decided that he needed a turkey cake, so using my friend Pinterest we whipped this up for him.

We ate dinner at my parent's house which was delicious as always! My mom found a "vintage" dress for Audrey to wear.

Weekend in St. Louis

In the middle of November, Abe, Audrey and I traveled to St. Louis for a weekend. Jonah and Riley spent the weekend with Nanny and Poppop and had so much fun! We went to St. Louis so Abe and I could attend the Mighty Oakes Heart Foundation Gala. MOHF is a charity started by Abe's boss and his wife after their second child was born with a congenital heart defect. Their story is amazing - you can read more about it here. I'm in awe of people who can take a situation that is so devastating and turn it into a way to do good in the world.

We had a little bit of time before the event so we headed to the Arch for Abe and Audrey's first visit.

Little Audrey crawled all around our hotel room while Abe and I were getting ready for the party. The Ortyl Family set us up with a great babysitter for the evening (we stayed in the same hotel as the event).

There was this fantastic photobooth at the event that was taking fish eye photos, and Becky provided some very cute heart-themed props. What a clever idea!

We got Audrey a bear at the gala... he's wearing a Mighty Oakes tshirt.
