HAPPY EASTER!

A few more party photos...

Two friends of mine who are much more talented at using their cameras than I am shared some of their party photos with me. I'm thankful that they captured some of the moments that I missed with my camera. Thank you so much, Christine & Melissia!

All Aboard for a Birthday Party!

The boys hosted some of their friends this past Saturday morning for a train-themed birthday party!

The lunch table, decorated with one of the boys' trains.

Favors for the guests...  hats, bandanas and train whistles.

Ready to party!

Our special guest was Erin Stephens, children's librarian at the Lower Macungie Library. She brought train themed books for one of her special storytimes!

One of the books she brought was brand new at the library and hadn't even been on the shelves yet. Our kids were the first to hear it read!

A little play time...

... and lunch and cake!

We waited until after the party to open presents, but they boys loved everything!

Thanks for celebrating with us!

A trip to the Zoo

On a sunny yet slightly chillier morning, we headed to the Lehigh Valley Zoo with some of our playgroup friends. It was the first time that we had been there in a while and we had a blast!

Love a zoo with a playground and a sandbox!

Playground time!

We loved that one week in March of super-warm weather, so one afternoon we met up with some friends at the playground.

10 on the 10th - March

So there was no 10 on the 10th in Feburary... to be honest, I totally forgot until the 10th was almost over. I was going to do an 11 on the 11th instead, but God had different plans for our family that day. Early in the afternoon on February 11th, my grandmother passed away. Her viewing and funeral were held a week later and were such a fitting tribute to her life, filled with family and friends, pinochle cards and an endless supply of York Peppermint Patties. Our family spent nearly the entire day of her funeral together, from the service in the morning, the lunch after and an impromptu dinner at our house. It was the first time in a long time that so many of us have been together and was a little bittersweet.

Here are 10 photos from our March 10th, which started out like any other Saturday for us - breakfast at Billy's!

My yummy veggie omelet... love that it has broccoli in it!

Riley loves to eat Daddy's egg whites and make an "oak pond" (toddler translation - "yolk pond").

Our mission for the day was to go swingset shopping!

We had to play with them to make sure that they were fun, right?

All of that fun was pretty tiring!

Noodles for dinner!

A little playing in the driveway before bed.

We ended up ordering a swingset today and 16 days later this showed up in our yard!!

Jonah turns TWO!!

On March 3 we celebrated Jonah's second birthday.... how this kid is 2 already I have no idea! We started off with breakfast at Billy's and then headed to Steamtown to see some trains!

Running down to the trolley museum...

Time to open presents! Jonah takes this work very seriously!

He hates to have anything on his hands, even if it is yummy icing!

That's better!
