Jonah turns 3!

Jonah was so excited to turn 3! He woke up the morning of his birthday singing "Happy Birthday" to himself and mastered holding up three fingers very quickly. We had dinner on his birthday at Nanny & Poppop's house, where Nanny made his favorite foods - noodles, chicken fingers and red peppers. Jonah and I also baked & decorated cupcakes to take into his preschool class on Monday.

Jonah received a lot of Dora the Explorer books (his current obsession) and a new scooter!

He's singing along with us... :)

Tummy Time!

Like most newborns, Audrey doesn't love tummy time but we keep telling her she needs it to become a strong little girl!

Riley decided that Audrey needed to hear about his train magazine during tummy time... such a good big brother!

Kindergarten Registration

As if we didn't have enough happening already, our local elementary school hosted Kindergarten Registration February 27! Riley is VERY excited about turning 5 this spring and heading to a new school in the fall. A few weeks before I had been invited by a friend to attend a PTA meeting at the school to hear a presentation by Salisbury Township SD's new superintendent. That day I told Riley that I was going to be at his new school that evening and he said, "Mommy, will you take pictures for me?!" That night I met the school principal and she asked all about Riley, and they got to meet at registration. We heard all about the kindergarten program from the principal, filled out a stack of forms, and then took a tour of the school.

I can't believe my first baby is this old already!

Some more Audrey pics!

Life is a little crazy right now, so I need to be better at remembering to take pictures of Audrey while she's still really little. But here are a few from her first few weeks:

I love that she can rock a hairbow at just a week old.

"Mommy, I'm trying to sleep!"

The rest of our hospital stay

I was thankful to have lots of visitors while in the hospital. My friend Jess came by on Friday night & Saturday afternoon to play some "look around" with Audrey and to give her lots of snuggles. My friend Mary is a nurse in the St. Luke's NICU and since I was there on a weekend when she was working she came to visit me twice. And of course, Nanny, Aunt Kathleen and Abe and the boys were frequent guests.

The boys loved holding their sister during their visits!

But they also loved watching shows on Mommy's phone & ipad. :)

Getting dressed to go home!

My friend Jess is very talented at crocheting and has made Audrey a full selection of hats, including this one that matches her going-home jammies!

I was happy to go home, but someone wasn't pleased about her car seat...

Audrey's Birth Day!

After an interesting day, Audrey Charlotte joined our family at 2:04 pm! Her actual birth was very quick, and I was so happy that the same doctor that had delivered both of the boys delivered her also. The boys had been at the hospital with Nanny & Poppop for most of the day, and got to see Audrey soon after she was born.

The (frightening!) before picture...

She's here!

Big girl... that says 8 pounds 15 ounces!

Checking out the baby...

All fluffed up after a bath!

Big Brothers to be!

At my 39 week OB visit on February 14, we decided with our doctor that our baby needed to be delivered soon... we knew she was going to be a big baby and some of my recent tests had shown that I had a slightly elevated level of amniotic fluid (another good indicator that she was going to be big). So before we left the office that day Dr. Abbruzzi called over to the hospital and had me scheduled for an induction at 7 am the next morning! We had already planned to have dinner with Nanny & Poppop that night, and they also agreed to keep the boys overnight since we had to be at the hospital so early the next day. We took a few pictures before we left of the big brothers-to-be!

Snow!

A few days after Christmas we got a somewhat-decent snowfall, so Abe & the boys headed outside to play!

Quick snow angel demo from Daddy...

Time for sledding!

Merry Christmas!

We were very blessed to spend Christmas day with our family, and the boys must have been extra good this year based on the pile of presents Santa left for them!

Riley was so excited to get "lipstick" (also known as Chapstick) in his stocking!

Looks like Santa shopped at Disney World!

Riley got a Leappad from Santa and he spent the next two days straight play with it.

Jonah took his "computer" to the breakfast table with him.

A few days later the boys got to have Christmas again when a package from Grandma & Grandpa arrived!
