Riley's last day of school

We attended Riley's final program at school with Nanny and Aunt Kathleen on May 31. Riley was a little nervous when his class was on stage in front of all of the parents and friends, and was a very reluctant singer. Just like with Jonah, I am stunned at how quickly this year has gone and how much Riley has changed. His teachers, Mrs. Kollar and Mrs. Shepherd, were just wonderful and Riley and I are both going to miss them this summer!

and on the last!

Thank you for a great year!

Final Day of Soccer

We were so sad to see Riley's soccer class end... he just loved playing! Here are some pics from his last two weeks:

Happy Memorial Day!

As always, we spent the morning of Memorial Day at Aunt Pat's house watching the parade and celebrating those who fight for our country! Aunt Pat asked us to bring a red, white and blue dessert so this is what we came up with (thanks to Pinterest, of course!):

Jonah's Ear Tubes

On Thursday, May 24, Jonah and I spent the early part of the morning at the hospital so he could have tubes placed in his ears. While most kids get them because they have recurrent ear infections, Jonah got them because his ears just aren't functioning properly and his isn't able to hear as well as a result.

Pre-surgery - chilling out watching cartoons.

Post-surgery - minutes after waking up. I was thrilled when I learned that Jonah was able to take his extra-special lovey lion into surgery with him!

Enjoying his cookies and juice before going home!

His surgery went incredibly well and his recovery has gone even smoother!

Jonah's last day of school!

Monday, May 21 was Jonah's last day for this school year and I cannot believe how quickly this year has passed! His teachers, Miss Lisa and Miss Julie, were just amazing - so caring and so kind and SO patient to have a class of 8 1- and 2- year olds!

This year we've gone from this:

To this!

Thank you for a great year!!

Choo Choo!

Friends told us about this great model railroad in Reading that you can actually ride, so on one of their open house weekends we had to check it out!

A fun trip and we'll definitely head back!

Field Trip to the Lehigh Valley Zoo

Jonah and I went with Riley and his class for a trip to the Lehigh Valley Zoo.

Riley has really been surprising me lately... first I never thought he'd have his face painted at the Philly Zoo, and now he's willing to hold a food cup out for a bird to eat out of!

Dorney Park Opening Weekend

We had been so excited about Dorney Park opening for the summer that we had to go opening weekend!

Riley Races!

The day before the St. Luke's 5k/Half Marathon, Riley participated in a kid's race in downtown Allentown.

Bib is on and he's ready to race!

Riley's fast friend Katherine was also there!

Very proud of his finisher's medal!

We stuck around after Riley's race to watch the other kid's races and we found the Peepster!

Refueling with a smoothie!

Zoo Time!

We hit the Philadelphia Zoo with my friend Keri and her kids Eli & Sydney and had a ton of fun!

Riley loves a good map!

Snack break!

I'm surprised he wanted to, but Riley got his face painted!

Let's Play Soccer!

Riley took a soccer class with the UK Petites with a bunch of his buddies and just loved it! Here are a few pics from his first day:

Riley and his pal Nash are ready to play!

A happy spectator!
